The Whiskey Daredevils will enter the studio this week in Detroit with noted producer and whiz kid John Smerek to begin work on an all new full length, "Whiskey Daredevils Greatest Hits Vol 2". The release will consist of songs have all been road tested and selected from over 20 new originals, with only the finest choice material making the cut. This will be Ken's last recording with the band in the foreseeable future, and expected to be his finest moment on tape. Unless he bungles his bass lines of course, then the band will overdub some ringer on there. Still, everyone remains very confident that the recordings will be the finest release yet in the band's considerable discography. There are 16 Cowslingers/Whiskey Daredevils full length releases out there now with number 17 on the way. Ideally this full length CD will be available by the end of Summer both domestically and in Europe for our friends in the Old Country. Have you somehow fallen behind in your collection? Don't be a sap. Click on the merch page and make your music collection the envy of all your friends.
The rumors flying around Daredevil Nation about the new bass player will be officially confirmed next week in a dramatic press release. We can tell you confidently that Gene Simmons, Geddy Lee, Jack Bruce, Geoff Firebaugh, Kira, Kim Deal, Roger Waters, Tony Primiano, Charles Mingus, or Sid Vicious are not part of the 2011 Daredevils plans due to contractual problems, lack of contact, or in some cases death of the individual.
