If you like the Whiskey Daredevils, last Saturday you should have been at the Northside in Cincinnati. Two big sets and 40 songs. Even Bruce Springsteen remarked later, "Damn, those guys played a long time." This leads the band right into this weekend and two new clubs. Friday is a trip to the Ottawa Tavern in Toledo with pals Death By Rodeo opening. Toledo has been cruel to the band in the past. Greg getting a lit cigarette flicked on him by a passing car upon arrival at a show in Frankies immediately comes to mind. However, we have heard that this is a "cool" place to play. We proceed cautiously optimistic. Saturday finds the band back in another new venue in Columbus called The Shrunken Head. With Righteous Buck and the Skull Scorchers on the bill, you know this will be a good time. This club is also "cool" according to people supposedly in the know.
Check out the new Daredevils video for "The Day Evel Kneviel Died" on youtube here. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ktMYSHua-fM Please note, the first 10 seconds are silent in homage to the worst motorcycle wreck of all time. Viva Knievel! Also new is the Day 13 update to the Euro Tour diary. The boys are in Bremen, and Leo tells the people how much he likes that obscure local beer of theirs, "Becks".
