Sorry about the long delay in spreading the word about what’s going on. Ken is finishing up his job in Washington DC at the end of April, so that means we’ll be back at it in May. Meanwhile we continue to use our “down time” constructively. Last week Greg/Gary/Leo went into 609 to record some acoustic songs, and will have Ken overdub the bass later. That has led to another session scheduled this month for another 4 songs with special guests like Cowslinger guitarist Bobby Latina, Hillbilly Idol banjo player Paul Kovacs, and Bill Lestock on fiddle. This is going to be a real Hootenanny of an EP! There’s brand new material like “The Day Evel Knevil Died”, “All Night Long” , and “Lay It Down”. There’s covers like the International Submarine Band’s “Blue Eyes” and the Replacements “If Only You Were Lonely”. We’ve got hillbilly versions of “Ida Jane” and “Jack Evans Wants His Lighter Back”. There’s even a Cowslinger tune called “Rabbit’s Foot”. We’re going to turn it around really fast, and with some luck have it for our Beachland Show at the end of May. That’s what we’re talking about Cheese!
Some guy from Finland maybe (?) reviewed “Introducing the Whiskey Daredevils” and gave us a 3 out of 5. I’m not sure what he said about it, but I could understand the ZZ Top part of it. Take a look at it here. http://www.nyaupplagan.se/?p=1220
Meanwhile the Germans give us a 5 star review at Triggerfish. Check that out here: http://www.westzeit.de/rezensionen/?id=11146&tp=WHISKEY_DAREDEVILS
We’re adding news shows like crazy right now. If you want us to come play your town, get in touch. We’ll do our best!
