Thanks to everyone that came out to the Beachland to help make our show there a sellout. Two shows in a row sold out at the Beachland... Nice! We really appreciate the support. Thanks for coming out, and we hope to see more of you soon. The van rolls on this weekend as the band heads to Pittsburgh for a show at the 31st Street Pub on Friday with old friends Highway 13, and then on to a day of gambling at the dog track in Nitro West Vg. If there's time, we'll probably make our show at the Empty Glass on Saturday night too. Word is one of the new Pistol Whippers guys bands will be on the bill, so it should be an outstanding evening of rock and roll type music.
There's been a bunch of interviews in the press lately. Here Greg talks to the West Virginia Rock Scene about a variety of topics http://www.wvrockscene.blogspot.com/ . Meanwhile the Scene gave readers the inside scoop on what the songs are about on the new record. Check that out here. http://www.clevescene.com/c-notes/archives/2010/02/11/whiskey-daredevils-throw-a-cd-release-party Also, the new Cleveland Independent ran a story about the new CD, but for some reason the author decided the disc was called "On the Horizon". http://www.clevelandindependent.com/2010/02/11/punkabilly-confessions/ She must have been a real fan, because as almost everyone knows, "On the Horizon" was the full length CD recorded with Mutt Lange in 1985 that was later discarded by Atlantic records as being "too psycadelic" and "not commercial enough". After a lengthy public feud with the label, the Daredevils left Atlantic to record their three critically disappointing art rock records for Geffen. "On the Horizon" is a much sought after collector's item, kudos to Alicat for finding it!
