Apologies for the lack of information posted on a regular basis here. With 17 different platforms going out in 17 different directions it can become tedious. If you haven't become our friend on The Facebook (as Leo likes to say), make sure and do that as it is always easy to update while riding around in the van. Here's what we have going on right now...
The "Nashville Surprise" LP is actually going to be in hand within three weeks... allegedly. With the vinyl gold rush going on, it has absolutely swamped manufacturers and they are running very far behind. Rest assured, this will be worth the wait. The full Nashville session recorded at SeaLab Studios (R.I.P.) on red vinyl with a download code for your convenience, it's the total package. With luck we will have these in hand for our upcoming shows with Southern Culture on the Skids.
In case you haven't looked, there are some great shows on the way. We look forward to sharing the stage with Reverend Peyton's Big Damn Band for the first time ever here at the Grog and in Pittsburgh at the Rex Theater. Then we jump right into some shows with SCOTS at the Beachland and Southgate with sidebars with the D-Rays in Dayton and the Lords in Youngstown. Best of all this weekdend we will pop over to Erie for our first time at the King's Rook and then down to Nashville with the mighty Hillbilly Casino. Phew!
While we head over to the King's Rook, it should be noted that our longstanding pals at The Beer Mug in Erie have decided to sell the bar and close the doors forever. Our understanding is that it will actually be leveled and turned into a parking lot for the car dealership across the street. As a goodbye and thanks to Paul who gave our rag tag little band a chance to play in Erie when no one else would, The Cowslingers will be playing a set at The Beer Mug's final night on Saturday May 16th. With some luck, maybe Krusty remembers how to play his bass. We will see on the 16th, won't we?
