The Daredevils drove down to Nashville TN to make their new record. We say "record", because it will be coming out on vinyl with all the associated glory of a nice big fancy cover. Here's what happened... The band worked with Dexter Green, a guy that shows up on the credits of a lot of "professional" records in his SeaLab Studio. We recorded it the way we always do. The band set up and played the songs essentially live. Gary dropped in some monster guitar overdubs. Greg went into the booth to sing the songs. It took two days. It's all done now except a couple vocals when Greg's voice gave out after screaming over the din for 12 hours a day. Nothing is mixed yet, but it sure sounded nice up on the board without any of that magic nashville fairy dust being sprinkled on it yet. We think you're going to like it.
There are two more shows in 2013. The band will go back to Jamestown this Friday December 13th for the first time since the inspiration for "In That Order" happened, and that was a while back! The crowd at Mojo's has always been fun in the past, and the hope is it will be a good time for all. The following Saturday on December 21st, the Daredevils and Scoliosis Jones will rip it up for the last gig of a good year in Daredevil Land. Make sure and catch the band, because Sugar has to go under the knife to get a rotator cuff fixed! Most people don't remember that Sugar was a member of "The Nasty Boys" Cincinnati Reds bullpen a number of years ago as a left handed specialist out of the pen. All those pitches will eventually cathc up to you though... The bad news is that the band will be off the stage for all of January and most of February. The good news is that Greg is cooking up an ill advised recording project to keep them busy during that stretch.
Thanks everyone for all your support again this year! We look forward to seeing you all out on the road!
