We had a great time playing with John Doe last Tuesday night. Damn, that guy can really sing. On top of that, he and his whole band were really cool people. It's always scary playing with someone who is well represented in your record collection. If they turn out to be assholes, every time that song hits you'll think "Damn, is that guy an asshole!" instead of "Damn, is that a great song!". No danger of that happening with John's solo records or X discography. Thank God. We like those records. We didn't want to lose them.
This Friday we are going to The Hideout in Pittsburgh to play a place we really don't know anything about. The booking agent for the room saw us play in Columbus and really liked us, so here we are. To all of our Pittsburgh folks, we hope to see you. Everyone we have talked to at the club has been nice, so we are cautiously optimistic. Hope to see you there.
Gary reports that the early Rocket From the Tombs rehearsals are totally rocking. We'll post those dates in a couple of days so you can plan to see Mr. Siperko rock out over the next couple of weeks.
